It's An Easter Bug Card! Freebie Links

I've made another card for the My Sketch challenge happening over on Quirky Crafts right now. Mainly because I just loved this Digi Image from Bugaboo, who are sponsoring the challenge this time round and nobody had used it. Well, I should have used it, but I used the elephant instead! Well, it was hard to choose!
I've made the card a little larger than I usually do, it's about 8"x8" made from one and a bit A4 cards and cut down to a square.
All the papers I've used here were freebie at one time that came with Crafting Magazines such as Carding Making and PaperCraft, Quick Cards Made Easy, Crafts Beautiful and PaperCraft Inspiration and the yellowy flowery sheet (the first one on the card you can hardly see) was once a freebie from MadAboutCards. You may have to 'login' to download them on some of the sites, but it's well worth it! (If you do need to login, paste and copy the link at the top of the sites page, where my link leads, as it may be hard to find the freebie page again!) Here's a few links to some Easter papers...
Hope the links still work! (*MadAboutCards are sadly closing down, so be quick!)
I've 3D-ed the digi, (printed it out about four times) coloured with Promarkers and added a splash of Stickles Glitter glue.
The rabbit and Easter egg ribbon was from Crafty Ribbons. (I won them last year!)
This time I didn't cheat by edging the card with a black ProMarker, I actually used black card for the layering.
The Sketch is very easy, you can keep it plain or fill it with all sorts of embellishments if you like! I've added gems, flowers, an extra lacy bit by the ribbon and that cute tiny punched out rabbit and of course all those Easter Eggs! (That took me ages!)

WOYWW...Hardly Anything!

Come on, give me a gold star for tidying up! (I had to, I couldn't find the camera!) This is my this weeks, 'What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday' crafty space for Wednesday, and you can see the bench! Hubby actually came in and stroked it! (about an hour before I took the picture, when it was completely bare... almost!) He was going to put up my new 'Useful Boxes' but it was a bit late to start drilling the wall! And the other side of my crafty room? Not too bad...a bit messy, but the best it's been in months. I'm keeping it short this week, so bigger pictures...smaller writing! If you want to join in go here.... The Stamping Ground!! Bye for now!! Had to add this... the cheek of it! Look who woke me up first thing this morning... and he's not even my cat!!!

This Weeks, Wednesday Digi ((CLOSED))

Here's this weeks Digi. Hope you like chicks. This is little Eggly, the Easter Egg Chick, just hatching out ready for Easter. I think he looks more like a duck, maybe that's what happens if a chick eats too much chocolate!
Please remember, do not share my digi's or load them to forums, blogs, Flickr, PhotoBucket, etc, anywhere, except your own computer. Links to this site are always appreciated!
Sorry you missed this one! Look out for him in the store!

Bugaboo! It's My Quirky Sketch!

Evening everyone! It's my turn to set the theme over on the Quirky Craft's fortnightly Challenge. This time round we are sponsored by the one and only...
who have very kindly offered not 1 not 3 not 5 but 7 digi's to our winner!!
You don't have to use a Bugaboo digi for the challenge, but extra points will go to those of you who do! Bugaboo do a Freebie every Friday so most of you must have a few!
Now, for this our 7th Challenge of the year, I thought we could do something we haven't done for ages, a nice easy...
Sketch!
See, very easy! But for those of you who want something a little more challenging, you can add anything extra to your projects you can find in your stash. (Stash, not trash...Spaghetti rings and stewed cabbage won't do!) As long as we can still see you've used the sketch you can add as many extra embellishments as you like. Flowers, beads, buttons, glitter, staples, die-cuts, sentiments, bows, ribbons, embossing. Turn, twist or reverse the sketch, decoupage the layers, 3D the images, or leave them flat! Just have fun!

For my card, I've used Edward Elephant with present..along with his friendly chick! Love this image and just had to layer him up!
I printed out three Edwards, coloured them all with ProMarkers, used my Nesties on the first image and then cut the remaining images to make layers, the last layer being just Edward and the lid of the box. (For the squeamish, don't look too closely at the little chick~I had to cut his legs off!)
For the flowers I used a mixture of bought white flowers coloured red with ProMarkers and punched out flowers.
The little hearts ribbon I bought specially for this card to go with the hearts already on the papers. All paper by Pink Petticoat. I was hoping the tiny 'snowflakes on the front would look like fireworks at a Birthday Party.
I've used Memory Die-cuts and Martha Stewart's fern punch, added loads of Stickles glitter and tiny pink gems and card candi. In side I've used an oldie, but a goodie and one of my favourites for using on ATCs, Elephant with Balloon which, using a clear background PNG image, I printed straight onto the cloud paper along with the wording.
The Freebie Font I used is called Pea KevinandAmanda Funky (Link always on sidebar) and you can download it HERE
I've made another Bugaboo card, which I'll also add to the challenge and show you a little later!
That's it! Pop over to the Quirky Craft's challenge blog to see what everyone else has made and why not visit their blogs too! Looking forward to seeing all of your fantastic creations very soon!!
Hopefully this is on timer as I'm not here. I'm not dog sitting this time, I'm cat sitting!! (Not quite so lumpy!) Thanks for dropping by!

Dustin's A Card For Emily Challenge

Dustin is having a challenge, for you to make a card to send to Emily, a little 7 year old girl who has been fighting leukaemia since the end of last year. She has had to endure more pain in her short life than most adults go through in their entire life. She has gone from Leukaemia to Rota-virus, to pancreatitis, to kidney stones, then to shingles, not to mention over 300 pokes in her little tiny body. From chemo to blood draws to feeding tubes. Dustin would like to bless her by encouraging all his blog followers to send her a card to brighten up her day. Emily has a long life ahead of her and with the encouragement of her family and friends is fighting with all her strength. You can read about Emily and her progress on her Aunts blog HERE. and Here
Dustin would like anyone and everyone who would like to send little Emily a card to choose ONE of the images from his Daisy & Buttercup sheet, which he has hand drawn and coloured especially for Emily. All you have to do is email him with your image choice, make a card using the image, join his Make A Card For Emily Challenge and he will send you the rest of the set as a thank you. What are you waiting for! Make a card for Emily. Details on Dustin's Blog.

My Card... I made two... the first one I think I've manage to 'rescued'! I forgot my main printer is out of ink, so ended up with blue 'grass'! Unfortunately, my old printer, which has ink...has jammed and I think this time, it's off to printer heaven aw shame! (You can see that first card in the post below this one, although I'll be posting it later).
This card I really had fun making. Being out of ink meant I couldn't use Dustin's coloured image, so I've used my ProMarkers. Emily, like most little girls loves ponies and kittens and the colour pink, so that's why the pony is pink!
I put the image into an old version of My Craft Studio (I can't believe I worked out how to get it into a PNG so I could show you! Press the Print Scene button on your computer so you 'take a picture' of what's on your computer scene...open Paint (I opened PaintNet)..Paste in...save as Jpeg or PNG!)
As the picture shows, I printed three ponies, along with the sentiment typed close to one of them. The font I used is a freebie it's called Teacher's Pet and you can download it HERE
I've 3D-ed the pony's head and mane using one of the other images, along with the swinging cat, 'curled' it a little, then fixed it on with silicone glue.
I then drew my own background around the pony. I left a cloud around the 'Just Swinging By...' and made the 'To Say Hi' into a sign-post. I drew round an eggcup to make the sun. The black and pink heart ribbon was from my local, not very crafty, shop, 30p a metre. Must get more!
The pink heart backing paper is by Pink Petticoat. Luckily I all ready had enough printed! (although, shhh! I had to 'patch up' the inside... I'll add die cut circles to write on later and maybe a Looney Lyn too! That's it for now. Thanks for stopping by!

A Card For Emily, Dustin Pike Image.

I first made this for a challenge over on Dustin's Blog, to make a card to send to Emily, a little 7 year old girl who has been fighting leukaemia since the end of last year. Unfortunately, my old printer, which has ink...has jammed solid and won't print anything, totally died so I think this time, it's gone off to printer heaven and my main printer is out of ink, so I ended up with blue 'grass' and rather wishy-washy rainbows!
I'd printed the ponies straight on to the Summer Driggs freebie papers which I've linked and used before on my Leprechaun card- only with the right colours!
I was going to do a bit of decoupage, but the card ended up as you see, with the ponies (one was flipped round the other way) coloured with ProMarkers and the rainbows covered with Stickles Glitter. So far it's just missed finding itself in the bin! (I can't throw anything away!)
I added the speech bubbles and left the inside blank and now suddenly I'm liking the faded colours... So I might send it as a Happy Easter card!
The font I used is a freebie, it's called Vitamin outlined and you can download it HERE (There's also Vitamin, which is 'filled' in)
There is a blog hop going on too, so I'll try my best to join in but seeing it's 4 in the morning, as I type this, I think I'll go to bed and come back in an hour or two!!
That's it. Pop over to Dustin's blog to find out more, and make a card for Emily.

Wednesday Digi.

I'm home at last and here's this weeks freebie! Sorry it was so late, remembered to put the post on timer but then realised, I hadn't brought the unwatermarked digi with me. Seeing I've been away dog sitting, I thought you'd like a puppy this week! Why not use her in the Birthday Challenge! It's open until 26th March. But please remember, do not share my digi's or load them to forums, blogs, Flickr, PhotoBucket etc. But Links to this site are always appreciated! Clicking the picture should take you to 4Shared. Just one thing...the digi you download will not have the ground line across it...decided to leave that out.
As from next week I will only email my freebies to anyone who would like it. Sorry to be such a pain, but I keep finding my 'unwatermarked' artwork on other shared websites, along with some other artist's work who kindly put out freebies. PhotoBucket have said they will 'look in to it'.
New Follower!Hi (((wave))) to Sandra Stevenson with a lovely blog called Home Made Thoughts And Cards from Abroad! That's it! off to add some more email cards to my challenge!

It's WOYWW Again...and I have Two!

Happy WOYWW! It's no lie, (about having two desks) coz we're not home, (this is on timer) and we're still dog sitting and very lumpy it is too! (and a little smelly!) Dog's really weren't made to be sat on!
Here's my desk at home as I left it...don't look too closely..there's a DT card waiting to be put together. The black lines on that paper? Well, that's one of my cheats. Instead of fixing on black card (or any colour card) I draw round the edges of the pearl card I'm going to use, with whatever colour suits my theme, in this case black... saves a lot of time and card!
And.... (there's more)...here's the second desk, the (Kitchen/diner) worktop where we're dog sitting... And perching on it is...no, not a dog....My Patchwork Piggy!!! I showed him to you last Tuesday, unfinished (almost nude!) and this is what he looks like now...

All fired up and shiny, although, not quite as I thought he would look like, (actually a little bit better!) but not bad for my first try, and all my own work... well the painting bit is! Must remember next time how the underneath paint shows through any pant painted over the top. Still, I got his pink cheeks just the way I wanted them, showing through the stippled pale blue, even though the patchwork is a bit wonky! So that's it...

That's what's on my 'home' workdesk this Wednesday and 'here' where the dogs are...! Beats all that mess I usualy show you. So??? Want to join in? Easy! Just pop over the The Stamping Ground and sign in to the biggest crafty blog hop ever! This is on timer, hope to 'see' you when I get home!! Bye for now!

WOYWW?

Just Keep On Creating!
